I could say so much but I’ll keep it short and simple! Mike is great, and very knowledgeable. He cares and makes sure that you’ll be a good fit and can handle for the dog of your choice and I respect that a lot. He has very great communication skills and I enjoyed always getting pictures and updates of our guy. He’s finally home and we are in love with our Lab🩶 He is definitely someone to go to if you are looking for a dog whether it’s a young newer pup or a trained and older pup he’s your guy! I definitely see myself in the future getting another dog from him but until then we will focus on our beautiful baby boy❤️

Our experience with Mike and, ultimately, with our wonderful Labradoodle Luna was not at all what we expected—which makes us even more grateful that we found him. Our family had black Labs for nearly 20 years, and after recently losing our beloved Lab to brain cancer, we assumed our next dog would be another black Lab. In fact, that is what led me to Mike. After reading his excellent reviews and spending time on his very informative website, I called to ask whether he had any young adult Labs available. He didn’t, but during that first conversation we began talking about Labradoodles. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and generous with his time, and he encouraged us to keep an open mind. We decided to visit him at his home in Mundelein and meet some of his dogs. That is how we met Luna. Luna was six months old, and we connected with her immediately. I never imagined that after so many years of loving Labs I would come home with a Labradoodle, but I am so grateful we were willing to consider something different. Luna is extraordinarily smart, affectionate, curious, and an absolute joy. She has quickly become part of our family, and we couldn’t be happier with her. Our experience with Mike also made clear why he has been so successful as a breeder for so many years. He is passionate about his dogs and extremely knowledgeable about breeding, genetics, training, and raising healthy, well-adjusted puppies. He is professional and straightforward, but what impressed us most is how personally invested he is in the dogs he raises. His involvement did not end when we drove away with Luna. He has continued to check in with us, answer questions, and offer advice as Luna has settled into our home. Choosing a new dog after losing one you have loved for many years is an emotional decision. We are very grateful that our search for another black Lab unexpectedly led us to Mike—and to Luna. She is exactly the dog we didn’t know we were looking for. We are first-time dog owners and Mike made the entire experience truly wonderful. He was incredibly helpful and informative, guiding us through every step of the process. Even after we brought our pup home, he continued answering all of our questions for weeks—no matter how many we had. Mike held onto Penny for two extra weeks and used that time to crate train her, start potty training, work on leash training, and get her comfortable with car rides. She came home already well on her way, which made the transition so much easier for us. Penny is an amazing dog. She’s easily trainable, has a fantastic temperament, is great with our kids, and fits perfectly into our family. We’ve had her for two months now and still stay in contact with Mike. We had a great experience working with Mike and adopting our 8 month old puppy Maple. He spent a lot of time with us and helped us pick the right dog for our family. He is also just a very compassionate and caring person who loves what he does, and it shows every time you interact with him. We had a few concerns with some adjustment behaviors in the beginning, but these were very brief, and Mike was always available to talk through things and provide helpful advice. A couple weeks later, Maple adjusted beautifully and has since been a very happy, playful, bouncy, friendly, and curious puppy. She's great with kids and other dogs. We are very impressed with how smart she is, how much she loves swimming in the lake and fetching (we know she had no experience with this previously), and how quickly she is learning. We've never had a labradoodle before (always rescued mutts), and you can tell these dogs are different/special in a really good way. Just about everywhere we go, people comment on how great she is. We are very happy with our experience!

From the very moment we first contacted Mike regarding information about his puppies, til the moment we took both of our silver labs home he has been nothing short of amazing. We recently adopted the newest member of our family, Nico, from Mike. Mike is so knowledgeable about the breed and the breeding process, and it is clear he cares deeply about all his dogs. It was one of the most frightening experiences we’ve ever been through given the 90% fatality rate!. Throughout the entire ordeal, Mike never hesitated to help. He stayed in close contact with us, walked us through what to expect from the emergency veterinarian, helped us understand the critical first 48 hours, and continued checking in as our puppy fought his way back to health. His support, knowledge, and genuine concern meant more to us than we can express. It showed us that Mike’s commitment to his puppies doesn’t end when they leave his home—he truly cares about every dog he breeds and the families who welcome them.

Mike is amazing! And his puppies are amazing! The biggest thing that really sets the standard would be how Mike makes sure that you can truly have a puppy or not. He calls and ensures that you are fit to adopt a puppy. He doesn’t stop there he then sets you up for success when you are bringing them home.
