About Labrador & Labradoodle Puppies Chicago

Chicago Area Labrador Retrievers & Labradoodles is located in Mundelein, Illinois, about 1 hour northwest of Chicago.

We are rated the Number One Labrador and Labradoodle breeder in the entire Midwest, & in the top 3% of breeders in the country! We have hundreds of 5-star Google reviews & encourage you to read some of them to get an idea of who we are.

Breeding high quality Labradors and Labradoodle pups for the past 25 years has been rewarding and exciting! Many of our dogs have gone on to be professionally trained therapy and service dogs.  We take a lot of pride in our pups! We have established an outstanding reputation not only in the Midwest, but throughout the country, as well.  Our pups are raised in our home and are socialized with other dogs and people.

Our puppies are premium quality which begins with full panel DNA testing through Embark, & OFA hip/elbow certificationsThese are the only things that determine the quality of a dog. Sadly, the majority of breeders (about 85%) do absolutely no DNA or orthopedic testing & are blinding breeding puppies. Other breeders may do a limited DNA panel- which consists of about 6/10 conditions- but both Labradors, Labradoodles, & Goldendoodles can carry over 20 breed related conditions. There are also many breeders out there that claim they do both DNA & OFA testing, but if you ask them for copies of the reports, they will give you every excuse under the sun as to why they cannot produce them for you. I have dealt with this many times throughout the years with other breeders.  Embark is THE ONLY DNA company that always checks for over 200 conditions. A minimum of 35% of puppies that come from parents with no DNA or orthopedic testing will be born with a genetic/orthopedic disease- or both! These conditions will generally surface between 4/8 years of age- on average. People who ultimately adopt our pups have done the research, both on & off our website so when the call us, they are very well informed about what to look for in a QUALITY PUPPY as well as a quality breeder.

Once the pups begin being weaned off the mother, they are given a high protein, high fat puppy food. This ensures they get plenty of nutrients, are healthy and strong.

The pups begin housebreaking at 5 weeks of age—once they are put into their own crate. The key to success is to get the pups out of their crate a few times per day—this helps teach them to relieve themselves outside of their crate and that the crate is their home, which they prefer to keep clean.

The pups' dew claws are removed after a few days of birth, de worming is done at 2,4,6,8 weeks of age, and they receive their first puppy shot at 7 weeks of age.

All pups are kept for a minimum of 8 weeks of age, and when it’s time for the pups to go home, toy selection, food, basic training and housebreaking tips are gone over with the pups new owner, & they are given a couple puppy handouts that we have prepared detailing complete & efficient puppy care.

All pups come with a 2-year written genetic & orthopedic health guarantee & are given copies of the parents DNA & orthopedic reports.
