I could say so much but I’ll keep it short and simple! Mike is great, and very knowledgeable. He cares and makes sure that you’ll be a good fit and can handle for the dog of your choice and I respect that a lot. He has very great communication skills and I enjoyed always getting pictures and updates of our guy. He’s finally home and we are in love with our Lab🩶 He is definitely someone to go to if you are looking for a dog whether it’s a young newer pup or a trained and older pup he’s your guy! I definitely see myself in the future getting another dog from him but until then we will focus on our beautiful baby boy❤️

We had a lot of trepidation in buying our first puppy, and Mike exceeded all expectations in making it a happy and seamless experience. He was professional and so knowledgeable about the dogs, and we left feeling confident in being new dog parents. Not to mention, the dogs are beautiful 😍 We found the perfect labradoodle and he’s been a wonderful addition to our family. We can’t recommend this breeder highly enough!

We had a wonderful experience purchasing our puppy and couldn’t be happier! From the beginning, it was clear how much care, attention, and pride Mike puts into his breeding program. We were especially impressed by how thorough he was in educating us about puppy care, what to expect, and how to set our new puppy up for success. What stood out most was his commitment to the health and well-being of his dogs. It’s reassuring to work with a breeder who places such a strong emphasis on ensuring his puppies are healthy and well cared for. The puppy starter kit Mike offers is an added bonus and made bringing our new puppy home even easier. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible, knowledgeable, and dedicated breeder!

Great experience here. Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful with the puppies. He gave exactly the information I needed for my puppy's adjustment to his new home! He explained the genetic information and it's meaning very well. I would definitely recommend for anyone who is interested in a lab or labradoodle.

We could not recommend Mike Martinez more highly. Our experience with Mike and, ultimately, with our wonderful Labradoodle Luna was not at all what we expected—which makes us even more grateful that we found him. Our family had black Labs for nearly 20 years, and after recently losing our beloved Lab to brain cancer, we assumed our next dog would be another black Lab. In fact, that is what led me to Mike. After reading his excellent reviews and spending time on his very informative website, I called to ask whether he had any young adult Labs available. He didn’t, but during that first conversation we began talking about Labradoodles. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and generous with his time, and he encouraged us to keep an open mind. We decided to visit him at his home in Mundelein and meet some of his dogs. That is how we met Luna. Luna was six months old, and we connected with her immediately. I never imagined that after so many years of loving Labs I would come home with a Labradoodle, but I am so grateful we were willing to consider something different. Luna is extraordinarily smart, affectionate, curious, and an absolute joy. She has quickly become part of our family, and we couldn’t be happier with her. Our experience with Mike also made clear why he has been so successful as a breeder for so many years. He is passionate about his dogs and extremely knowledgeable about breeding, genetics, training, and raising healthy, well-adjusted puppies. He is professional and straightforward, but what impressed us most is how personally invested he is in the dogs he raises. His involvement did not end when we drove away with Luna. He has continued to check in with us, answer questions, and offer advice as Luna has settled into our home. Choosing a new dog after losing one you have loved for many years is an emotional decision. We are very grateful that our search for another black Lab unexpectedly led us to Mike—and to Luna. She is exactly the dog we didn’t know we were looking for. I highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a thoughtful, knowledgeable and experienced breeder of Labradors and Labradoodles who genuinely cares about his dogs and the families who bring them home.

If you are looking to adopt, we highly recommend Mike! We just brought home our mini Labradoodle, and the entire experience was wonderful. Mike goes above and beyond to make sure each puppy finds the perfect family fit. He walked us through every step of the process and continued to follow up after we got home, offering amazing guidance to help us settle in. Our puppy is so sweet, loving, and affectionate, and the kids are absolutely thrilled. Mike truly cares about his dogs and the families they go to!

We had such a great experience with Chicago Area Labrador and Labradoodles! Mike was awesome from the very beginning and you can tell he genuinely cares about his dogs and the families they go to. He continued checking in with us after we brought Nora home, which really showed how much he cares. We absolutely love our baby girl and couldn’t be happier with our experience!

Was great working with Mike. He really loves and cares about his dogs. Making sure there are right fit for you and they are going somewhere well loved. Always available with questions guidance. Highly recommend .

We couldn’t be happier with our new mini Labradoodle puppy, Tucker! From the moment we brought him home, he has been an absolute joy. He is sweet, playful, affectionate, and has such a wonderful personality. The experience we've had with Mike at Labrador/Labradoodle Puppies Chicago was professional and seamless. I would highly recommend Mike and his team to anyone looking to add more love to their lives.

We are first-time dog owners and Mike made the entire experience truly wonderful. He was incredibly helpful and informative, guiding us through every step of the process. Even after we brought our pup home, he continued answering all of our questions for weeks—no matter how many we had. Mike held onto Penny for two extra weeks and used that time to crate train her, start potty training, work on leash training, and get her comfortable with car rides. She came home already well on her way, which made the transition so much easier for us. Penny is an amazing dog. She’s easily trainable, has a fantastic temperament, is great with our kids, and fits perfectly into our family. We’ve had her for two months now and still stay in contact with Mike. Overall, we’ve had an outstanding experience and would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a dog. You won’t find better support or a better start for your new family member!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a wonderful experience with Mike and Chicago Area Labs from start to finish! Mike was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer our questions, kept us well informed, and genuinely made us feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. We were truly impressed with his facility, the way he runs his operation, and the obvious care and dedication he puts into his dogs and puppies. Mike also went the extra mile for us, which we sincerely appreciated. Most importantly, we couldn’t be happier with our puppy, Butters! 🐾 He has been such an amazing addition to our family, and we’re so grateful to Mike for helping bring him into our lives. We highly recommend Mike and Chicago Area Labs to anyone looking for a responsible, knowledgeable, and caring breeder. Thank you again, Mike!

I went to Mike’s place, and came back home with an adorable little puppy! Mike is amazing at instructing and advising on how to handle a new dog and he is great at keeping in contact! Would definitely recommend!

We adopted a silver lab puppy from Mike and it was the best decision ever. She is an amazing addition to the family!! Mike was so great during the process and even checks in with us after, he is so knowledgeable as well. She’s the best puppy we love her so much!

We recently adopted our newest family member, little Jordan (a Mini Labradoodle), from Mike, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! Since this was our very first time having a pet in our house, we were naturally anxious, but Mike made the entire process seamless and reassuring. Here is why working with Mike was an absolute pleasure: - Patient & Supportive Setup: Mike gave us plenty of time and space to choose the right puppy without any pressure. He was exceptionally supportive from day one. - Exceptional Health & Genetics: All of his puppies are genetically tested, and the parents are well-trained to ensure every pup is healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. - Unmatched Post-Adoption Support: Mike remains incredibly responsive long after adoption. We still have detailed discussions with him about training, and his inputs are always spot-on and deeply valuable. - Genuine Care: He proactively checks in on us to see how our family is settling in and how Jordan is doing, which shows how much he truly cares about his pups. If you are anywhere in the Chicagoland area—or even a couple of hours' drive away—do not hesitate. It is worth every mile to get your new family member from him. Thank you, Mike! You are awesome!

We had a great experience working with Mike and adopting our 8 month old puppy Maple. He spent a lot of time with us and helped us pick the right dog for our family. He is also just a very compassionate and caring person who loves what he does, and it shows every time you interact with him. We had a few concerns with some adjustment behaviors in the beginning, but these were very brief, and Mike was always available to talk through things and provide helpful advice. A couple weeks later, Maple adjusted beautifully and has since been a very happy, playful, bouncy, friendly, and curious puppy. She's great with kids and other dogs. We are very impressed with how smart she is, how much she loves swimming in the lake and fetching (we know she had no experience with this previously), and how quickly she is learning. We've never had a labradoodle before (always rescued mutts), and you can tell these dogs are different/special in a really good way. Just about everywhere we go, people comment on how great she is. We are very happy with our experience!

Mike was wonderful! He is kind, honest, and truly cares about his pets. He answered all of my questions patiently and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Our new pet is healthy, happy, and exactly as described. I highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a responsible and trustworthy breeder/seller. Thank you, Mike!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Mike. From day one, it was clear how passionate he is about ethical breeding and producing healthy, well-tempered puppies. What really sets him apart is his commitment to educating puppy owners. He takes the time to explain health certifications, genetics, responsible breeding practices, and what to look for in a well-bred dog, helping families make informed decisions. His support doesn’t end when you bring your puppy home. Mike has continued to check in on Frankie, answer our questions, and offer guidance whenever we’ve needed it. That level of care and dedication is rare and shows how invested he is in every puppy he places. We’re incredibly grateful for Frankie and highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a breeder who is knowledgeable, ethical, and truly cares about both his dogs and the families they become a part of.

From the very moment we first contacted Mike regarding information about his puppies, til the moment we took both of our silver labs home he has been nothing short of amazing. He is very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the breeding process, and I could tell from our first conversation over the phone that he wanted to make sure his puppies were going to a good home. He shared stories about his experiences, from the early days of his business all the way to where he is at today. We picked up Smokey on June 13th and continued to see Mike for his vaccinations. 4 weeks after bringing Smokey home we were back at Mike’s for another round of puppy vaccinations and his only brother remaining in the litter was still there along with two females. Once we saw the two of them back together we knew it was only right to bring him home as well. So now we have Smokey and Stack, and our family couldn’t be any happier. I would highly recommend Mike for any of your needs, whether it be puppies, training boarding, or vaccinations you can tell that he truly loves what he does. His life revolves around his dogs and his puppies, and I’m sure he wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks Mike for all you have done for our family. 🐶🐶💙💙

I cannot recommend Mike and Labrador and Labradoodle Puppies Chicago highly enough! From the very beginning, Mike made the puppy adoption process seamless and enjoyable. He supported us every step of the way, allowing us to visit our pup, Logan, before he was ready to come home. Mike ensures that all appointments run smoothly and has consistently checked in on Logan since we brought him home. It’s clear that he truly cares about the well-being of his puppies. Logan is not only healthy but also has an incredible disposition, showcasing the qualities of a great dog. He is physically and emotionally strong, and we couldn’t be happier with our new family member. Thank you Mike!

We had such a wonderful experience with Labrador and Labradoodle Puppies Chicago and breeder Mike Martinez. From the moment we met him, it was clear how much care and attention he gives to his puppies. We received our sweet girl, Espresso, and could immediately tell how well she had been cared for. She was already crate trained, calm, loving, and well-adjusted. Mike walked us through every detail, answered all of our questions, and made the entire process feel comfortable and reassuring. What has impressed us even more is that Mike continues to follow up with us to see how Espresso is doing. That kind of genuine care means so much. We are incredibly grateful to have found him and would highly recommend Labrador and Labradoodle Puppies Chicago to anyone looking for a responsible, caring, and knowledgeable breeder. Thank you, Mike, for bringing our beautiful Espresso into our lives! ❤️🐾 Joe & Geneen

We recently adopted the newest member of our family, Nico, from Mike. Mike is so knowledgeable about the breed and the breeding process, and it is clear he cares deeply about all his dogs. Nico is healthy and well behaved already, most likely because he was born into a well-kept, spacious, loving environment for the pups. We were also able to meet Nico’s parents, who were both happy, healthy, and well-behaved. Nico immediately bonded with our two children and our 6 year old Goldendoodle. We are so happy that we found Mike and his pups!

From our very first conversation to the day we brought our puppy home, our experience was absolutely outstanding. It was clear from the beginning that Mike genuinely cares about his dogs and is passionate about raising healthy, well-socialized Labrador puppies. Mike was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire adoption process. Every question we had was answered thoughtfully and honestly, and Mike took the time to ensure we felt informed and confident every step of the way. There was never any pressure—just genuine care for his puppies and the families adopting them. The love and dedication Mike puts into his breeding program are evident in every interaction and in the wonderful temperament of our puppy. You can tell Mike prioritizes the health, well-being, and lifelong success of each dog above all else. If you’re looking for an ethical, trustworthy, and caring Labrador breeder, we truly cannot recommend Mike at Labrador and Labradoodle Puppies Chicago highly enough. We are so grateful for the incredible experience and for helping us find the perfect new member of our family. Thank you for everything, Mike! One thing that truly set Mike apart happened a couple weeks after we brought our puppy home. Our puppy unexpectedly contracted parvovirus and became critically ill. It was one of the most frightening experiences we’ve ever been through given the 90% fatality rate!. Throughout the entire ordeal, Mike never hesitated to help. He stayed in close contact with us, walked us through what to expect from the emergency veterinarian, helped us understand the critical first 48 hours, and continued checking in as our puppy fought his way back to health. His support, knowledge, and genuine concern meant more to us than we can express. It showed us that Mike’s commitment to his puppies doesn’t end when they leave his home—he truly cares about every dog he breeds and the families who welcome them.

Mike is amazing! And his puppies are amazing! The biggest thing that really sets the standard would be how Mike makes sure that you can truly have a puppy or not. He calls and ensures that you are fit to adopt a puppy. He doesn’t stop there he then sets you up for success when you are bringing them home. The research that he does for the care of the puppies and everything surrounding them is fabulous too. We are first time owners and felt extremely confident thanks to Mike and his constant support. Bringing Rio home has been such a joy!

We are first time dog owners and wanted to make sure that we purchased the right dog for our family. We couldn’t be happier with Carmel. She’s the sweetest dog and she’s quickly become part of our family. Mike was the easy choice for a breeder. His first interest was learning about our family and he wanted to make sure that we would be good caretakers. He was very patient and responsive throughout the process and he provided a wealth of knowledge. He continues to follow up with us and is always ready to answer questions or provide recommendations. Everyone who meets Carmel comments on how well trained and calm is. We couldn’t recommend Mike more highly! There’s no one who’s more committed than him.
