We had a great experience with Mike at labrador and Labradoodle puppies chicago. Our family had been searching for our first puppy- a mini Labradoodle- when we came across Mikes website. We were impressed with the genetic and orthopedic testing Mike does on his breeding dogs. We ended up with a beautiful trained labradoodle who we named Sherry. We have had her a couple of months now and she is just the sweetest little pup. Mike did an outstanding job training her, which made our job at home much easier. Mike provided a folder with the DNA reports on both parents, along with the orthopedic certifications, all puppy vaccinations were done and Sherry was microchipped. He went over all paperwork thoroughly, and has been in contact with us every week or so, which is great, as we have questions! Mike is also great at getting back to us if we text him with a question. Being first time puppy owners, we have had quite a few questions, and Mike has promptly responded to our texts. We highly recommend Mike for a puppy. He is very thorough in every step of the adoption process and is breeding quality pups.

We are first-time dog owners and Mike made the entire experience truly wonderful. He was incredibly helpful and informative, guiding us through every step of the process. Even after we brought our pup home, he continued answering all of our questions for weeks—no matter how many we had. Mike held onto Penny for two extra weeks and used that time to crate train her, start potty training, work on leash training, and get her comfortable with car rides. She came home already well on her way, which made the transition so much easier for us. Penny is an amazing dog. She’s easily trainable, has a fantastic temperament, is great with our kids, and fits perfectly into our family. We’ve had her for two months now and still stay in contact with Mike. We had a great experience working with Mike and adopting our 8 month old puppy Maple. He spent a lot of time with us and helped us pick the right dog for our family. He is also just a very compassionate and caring person who loves what he does, and it shows every time you interact with him. We had a few concerns with some adjustment behaviors in the beginning, but these were very brief, and Mike was always available to talk through things and provide helpful advice. A couple weeks later, Maple adjusted beautifully and has since been a very happy, playful, bouncy, friendly, and curious puppy. She's great with kids and other dogs. We are very impressed with how smart she is, how much she loves swimming in the lake and fetching (we know she had no experience with this previously), and how quickly she is learning. We've never had a labradoodle before (always rescued mutts), and you can tell these dogs are different/special in a really good way. Just about everywhere we go, people comment on how great she is. We are very happy with our experience!

From the very moment we first contacted Mike regarding information about his puppies, til the moment we took both of our silver labs home he has been nothing short of amazing. We picked up Smokey on June 13th and continued to see Mike for his vaccinations. 4 weeks after bringing Smokey home we were back at Mike’s for another round of puppy vaccinations and his only brother remaining in the litter was still there along with two females. Once we saw the two of them back together we knew it was only right to bring him home as well. So now we have Smokey and Stack, and our family couldn’t be any happier. We recently adopted the newest member of our family, Nico, from Mike. Mike is so knowledgeable about the breed and the breeding process, and it is clear he cares deeply about all his dogs. Nico is healthy and well behaved already, most likely because he was born into a well-kept, spacious, loving environment for the pups. We were also able to meet Nico’s parents, who were both happy, healthy, and well-behaved. Nico immediately bonded with our two children and our 6 year old Goldendoodle. One thing that truly set Mike apart happened a couple weeks after we brought our puppy home. Our puppy unexpectedly contracted parvovirus and became critically ill. It was one of the most frightening experiences we’ve ever been through given the 90% fatality rate!. Throughout the entire ordeal, Mike never hesitated to help. He stayed in close contact with us, walked us through what to expect from the emergency veterinarian, helped us understand the critical first 48 hours, and continued checking in as our puppy fought his way back to health. His support, knowledge, and genuine concern meant more to us than we can express. It showed us that Mike’s commitment to his puppies doesn’t end when they leave his home—he truly cares about every dog he breeds and the families who welcome them.

Mike is amazing! And his puppies are amazing! The biggest thing that really sets the standard would be how Mike makes sure that you can truly have a puppy or not. He calls and ensures that you are fit to adopt a puppy. He doesn’t stop there he then sets you up for success when you are bringing them home. The research that he does for the care of the puppies and everything surrounding them is fabulous too. We are first time owners and felt extremely confident thanks to Mike and his constant support. Bringing Rio home has been such a joy!
